Why am I being invoiced when my insurer is covering my sessions?

There are a couple of reasons why you may have received an invoice:

  • Excess Charge: Your insurance policy may include an excess amount that you are responsible for. Insurers notify our Finance team of any excess charges, and we then issue an invoice to you. If you have any questions about your policy coverage, we recommend contacting your insurer directly for clarification.
  • Did Not Attend (DNA) / Late Cancellation (Less than 48 Hours Notice): Insurance policies typically do not cover missed sessions or late cancellations. As outlined in our terms, if a session is not attended or cancelled with short notice, the cost may be charged directly to you. This fee is usually £80 for sessions with a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and £100 for sessions with a Clinical Psychologist.
