I have sent in my referral. What are the next steps?

  1. Therapist Matching
    Our team will match you with a therapist who’s experienced in the areas you want support with. You will receive appointment offers via email.
  2. Your Therapy Sessions
    Your sessions are held online, usually weekly and are 50 minutes long. Just like traditional therapy, this is your dedicated time to talk, explore, and work on what’s important to you with your therapist’s support.
  3. Getting Started
    Before your first session, you’ll need to complete a set of outcome measures through your profile. These give your therapist useful insights so they can tailor the sessions to you right from the start.

That’s why, in addition to therapy, we offer some free tools designed by therapists to help you along your way.

  1. Download the HelloSelf App
    The app is where all of these tools live, and it’s designed to help you do your therapy tasks on the go and bring what you learn in therapy into your daily life.
  2. Session Summaries
    You can choose to have Summaries switched on for your sessions (just go to your settings area to do this). This means we capture the learnings and key takeaways for you, leaving you to be fully present in your sessions. They'll also be available for you to turn back to between sessions and even after therapy ends
  3. Mid-Week Check-Ins
    Between sessions, we encourage you to take 10 minutes for a mid-week check-in using our app. It’s a quick exercise to reflect on your progress and  start bringing what you learn in the therapy room into your daily life. Therapists recommend this step if you want to see progress sooner and it’s completely free.
