Do you need both legal guardian’s consent?

All legal guardians should ideally be aware of your request for help and provide their consent. If all guardians are informed, we can accept consent from just one of them. Starting an assessment or treatment when there is disagreement among legal guardians about the request for help is not ideal, as it can hinder progress.

We understand that many families may be experiencing a difficult separation or facing challenging relationships with their child's parents or guardians.

Our CAMHS clinicians are available to understand your circumstances and discuss the best next steps, as well as how we can assist you.
